The Highland House is a blend of California, Caribbean and Mexican influences in both design and menu. It's a casual and fun atmosphere with a colorful and unique d�cor. Voted Milwaukee's Best Margaritas (six different flavors) and awarded 3 � stars out of 4 (Dennis Getto - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, July 2001) for our great food at a great price. Signature dishes are Fajitas, Wood Roasted Chicken, Big Bowl Pastas, and great Fish Specials. From appetizers to salads, sandwiches, pasta and dinner entrées, there is something for everyone. Kids have their own menu plus a video game room.
The Highland House features one of the best outdoor dining areas in the Midwest. Stop in and see our beautiful fireplace! With a southwest exposure, colorful art work and unique lighting, the dining deck is the place to be day or night. Located in Mequon close to the lake with plenty of parking and nicely landscaped grounds, it's a popular spot for a wide variety of customers. With it's lively bar and family-friendly atmosphere, the Highland House is the perfect spot after the movies (1 mile north of North Shore Marcus Theatres) and great for lunch or late night dining.
We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary! We opened the restaurant on November 11th, 1982; it’s hard to believe that 24 years has already gone by. Many changes have taken place both with the Highland House and Mequon. Here at the restaurant we’ve added a banquet room, smaller party rooms, expanded outside dining decks with our fabulous fireplace and new menu items. Our new Loyalty program that we started November 2003 now has over 5,000 members. Our business continues to grow and we work hard to exceed our guests expectations.
Mequon has become a vibrant community. St. Mary’s Hospital, Concordia University and the many new businesses have added greatly to our way of life. We consider ourselves very fortunate to own and operate a restaurant in this community. As the area continues to grow, management and staff look forward to providing you a wonderful place to relax, dine and enjoy friends and family.
